Jewelry Care
Silver rewards a little care. These simple habits help keep your pieces as you first received them — where a product page gives specific advice, follow that first.
Wearing
- Put jewelry on last — after perfume, hairspray and lotions have dried.
- Keep jewelry away from perfume, lotions and harsh chemicals.
- Remove pieces before showering, swimming or exercising.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to water and moisture.
- Take rings and bracelets off before cleaning or manual work.
Storing
- Store each piece separately so stones and chains do not scratch or tangle — the Belvoir box your order arrives in is ideal.
- Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and humidity.
- Fasten chains before storing them to prevent knots.
Cleaning
- Gently clean pieces with a soft, dry jewelry cloth when needed.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths and ultrasonic cleaners unless advised for your piece.
- Silver can naturally darken over time; a silver-polishing cloth helps restore its shine.
A note on materials: natural stones and materials can vary slightly in colour, tone and character from piece to piece. This is part of what makes each piece its own.
